myLot Condition Reports

The Electronic Condition Report (ECR) program gives Manheim dealers the opportunity to increase the value of their car by attaching a detailed ECR to their vehicle. The benefits of an ECR are twofold: an ECR increases the quality of listing of a seller’s vehicle and increases the buyer’s confidence. ECRs can be conducted on dealer premises or at Manheim auction locations.

The most common questions regarding the ECR program are below.

FAQs

  • How do I order an ECR?

There is a link to "Order Condition Report" under the Sell tab on OVE.com and Manheim.com. Click on that link and complete the form, and a Manheim representative will contact you shortly to schedule your inspections.

  • Who will complete my ECR?

Manheim has partnered with established inspection providers. Each of these partners must comply with Manheim inspection standards in order to provide inspections for this program.

  • How long does it take for the inspection company to visit my dealership?

An inspection company will be scheduled to visit your dealership premises within 24-72 hours of receiving your order.

  • Can I get an ECR anywhere?

ECRs can be completed anywhere in the continental US.

  • Do I need to bring my car to auction for ECR?

No, one of the benefits of ordering an ECR is that you do not incur transportation costs. Should you choose to have your vehicle inspected on Manheim premises, that can be arranged as well.

  • When will the ECR be available?

A listing with the ECR will be created in OVE’s Inventory Manager within 24 hours after inspection completion.

  • What is the price for an ECR?

The price per ECR completed on your lot is $35 per vehicle. Minimum orders may apply.

  • Is a Condition Grade assigned post inspection?

Currently a Condition Grade does not exist, although detailed vehicle information is included in the ECR.

  • Can I use my own pictures?

Inspectors are responsible for providing high quality pictures of your vehicle; therefore, no seller provided pictures are required.

  • Do I need to bring my car to auction when it sells?

No, the pickup location for the vehicle will be at the seller’s dealership, unless other arrangements are made by the dealers involved.

  • Can I reuse this ECR for Simulcast if I take my vehicle to the auction?

Yes. An ECR fewer than 60 days old can be used at any Manheim auction, as long as the ECR is registered under the same dealer for which it was completed.

Manheim Certified

Certified Inspections

Manheim offers sellers an opportunity to highlight vehicles that are exceptional in regards to condition and reliability. Vehicles that are eligible for and undergo a Manheim Certified Inspection are checked for exterior and interior condition, as well as under the hood to assure reliability. The 32-point Inspection covers engine, transmission, rear end, paint condition, mileage, body components, brakes, steering, title and interiors.

Dealer Benefits

    Certified-inspections
  • Buyers will be assured that the vehicle they purchase has been thoroughly inspected and has met the stringent requirements for inclusion in the Manheim Certified Program. The 14-day Guarantee that Manheim will repair or accept a return on any Manheim Certified vehicle gives the buyer extra confidence in the purchase.
  • Sellers will benefit from the fact that Manheim stands behind each Manheim Certified vehicle. The prime positioning in the sale with enhanced marketing attention equates to a higher sale price and an increased sales percentage.

Inspection

The vehicle is required to arrive at the operating location 5 days prior to sale day. This early arrival will ensure that the multi-point Inspection is done right and that the vehicle is ready for the sale.Certified-inspections2

In addition to the 32-point Inspection of the interior, exterior and mechanical components, the vehicle will be test driven to ensure drivability. After the Inspection, Manheim Certified vehicles are checked into the premier lane and given a prime positioning number.

Guarantee

The Inspection is Guaranteed for 14 days after the sale on the items inspected. At any time during this period, the vehicle can be returned to the nearest Manheim location for repairs or full return at Manheim's discretion.
