Working with Transportation Providers

Before accepting an offer from any transporter, we do advise the following:

• Confirm the carrier's DOT (Department of Transportation) and MC (Motor Carrier) registration numbers.
• Carefully review all terms and conditions specified in all transportation contract(s), specifically:
  • Estimated (or guaranteed date) of delivery.
  • Transportation rates (including any applicable surcharges).
• Obtain proof of insurance coverage that is sufficient for your shipment, with minimum coverage.
  • $1 million liability insurance.
  • $350k cargo insurance.

Manheim will monitor the performance of these providers based on feedback of customers, and may introduce additional providers in the future. If you have comments regarding any service provided by Manheim Simulcast or one of its transportation providers, please provide us with your feedback.
